  This course offers hands on experience as a teller at the Greater Nevada Credit Union branch at Carson High School. A 3.0 GPA and an interview are required. This course will fulfill the humanities/occupational graduation requirement.
PRINCIPLES OF BUSINESS AND MARKETING

This course is an entry-level course in the Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Sports & Entertainment Marketing programs that develops student understanding and skill in areas such as business law, communications, customer relations, economics, information management, marketing, and operations. Students acquire knowledge of fundamental business and marketing activities, factors affecting business, develop verbal and written communications skill, and participate in career exploration and planning. This course will fulfill the Career and Technical Education graduation requirement. This course is based on or meets the Nevada State Business & Marketing Education Standards. Lab Fee: $10.
     
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT I

This course is a continuation of the Business Management program. The course addresses several types of management, including customer relationship management, human resources management, information management, knowledge management, project management, quality management, risk management, and strategic management. Economics, finance, operations, and professional development are also emphasized throughout the course. The appropriate use of technology and industry-standard equipment is an integral part of this course.  Lab Fee:  $10.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT II

This course is a continuation of the Business Management program and focuses predominantly on financial analysis that supports economic decision-making in business. It includes specialist- and management-level skills such as interpreting
financial statements; calculating financial ratios; developing budgets; forecasting sales; and much more. The appropriate use of technology and industry-standard equipment is an integral part of this course. Upon successful completion of this
program, students will be prepared for entry into business administration and finance programs at the college level. Prerequisite: Business Management I.   Lab Fee:  $10.
