COLLISION REPAIR
TECHNOLOGY I

  This course provides entry-level auto body students with an orientation to automobile body repair and refinishing. Students will develop skills with the latest tools, equipment, and techniques. They will learn surface preparation, paint refinishing, detailing, trade information, and such skills necessary to obtain meaningful employment in the collision repair industry.    Lab Fee:  $40.

COLLISION REPAIR
TECHNOLOGY II

This course is a continuation of Collision Repair Technology I. This course provides intermediate collision repair students with instruction in minor metal repair, advanced painting techniques, and the application of acrylic paints. Students will continue to develop their skills in surface preparation, paint refinishing, detailing, trade information, and such skills necessary to obtain meaningful employment in the collision repair industry. The appropriate use of technology and
Industry standard equipment is an integral part of this course. Prerequisite:  Collision Repair Technology I.  Lab Fee:  $40.

     
COLLISION REPAIR
TECHOLOGY III

This course is a continuation of Collision Repair Technology II. This course provides advanced collision repair students with instruction in advanced techniques and processes. The students will continue to develop all skills learned in Collision
Repair Technology I and II. The appropriate use of technology and industry-standard equipment is an integral part of this course. Upon successful completion of this course, students will have acquired entry-level skills for employment in this
field.  Prerequisite:  Collision Repair Technology II.  Lab Fee: $40.

COLLISION REPAIR
TECHOLOGY
ADVANCED STUDIES

This course is offered to students who have achieved all content standards in a program whose desire is to pursue advanced study through investigation and in-depth research. Students are expected to work independently or in a team and consult with their supervising teacher for guidance. The supervising teacher will give directions, monitor, and evaluate the students’ topic of study. Coursework may include various work-based learning experiences such as internships and job
shadowing, involvement in a school-based enterprise, completion of a capstone project, and/or portfolio development. This course may be repeated for additional instruction and credit.  Prerequisite: Collision Repair Technology III. Lab Fee:  $40.
