Counselor Chambers
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, English from Western Montana College in Dillon, Montana in 1999, and I joined the migration of teachers from Montana to Nevada! I completed my Master of Arts in Educational Counseling in 2003 at the University of Phoenix.

I'm currently the lead counselor at Carson High School, and am enjoying the job very much! I love being an advocate for students and helping them make decisions for school and life. I was an English teacher for 4 1/2 years before taking this position as a counselor. I obviously value education and am proud to be a part of Carson High School. I do miss the classroom, and the energy of all those kids, but as a counselor, I especially like being able to give students one-on-one attention.

Every other Wednesday after school, I lead a Girl's Group for girls who just need a place to vent and talk about things. We focus on decision making, stress management, and values. I'm also the advisor for the Carson High Book Club.

I'm married to Bob Chambers, who is the Vice-Principal at Empire Elementary.  We have two beautiful and wonderful sons.  Mackade is 3 years old, and asks a million questions daily.  Isaac is is six months old and loves to laugh.  I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as reading, scrapbooking, shopping and skiing.  Please feel free to contact me anytime at achambers@carson.k12.nv.us or 283-1915.
