Senior Project Spotlight 2008-2009
The Senior project committee highlights one student's senior project every two weeks on the CHS web site.

Today's Senior being highlighted is: Ane Marie Carver

Research Paper Topic:
Teen Suicide.

Project Plan:
Hold a fundraiser for a self-ingury organization called ToWrite Love On Her Arms.

Who is your mentor? How did you decide upon this person as your mentor?
My mentor is Mrs. Grunert because I knew she was just as passinate about suicide prevention as I was.
Why did you choose this topic?
I chose this topic because I have always wanted to make a difference with suicide prevention and this seemed like a good way to start.

What have you completed so far with your project?
I have done research on supplies with cost that I will need and have started to plan out my approach to the fundraiser.

What are you proud of concerning your project?
I am proud that my project will get people aware of teen suicide while supporting an organization.

What are some interesting things you have learned from your project or your paper?
I am not to far started yet to learn a whole lot but I know I will or see the difference it will make in the community.

Anything else you'd like us to know about your senior project?
With my project I know it will involve me to stick to my plans and keep going forward because it really could help at least one person.  All I really expect from my project is for people to see that others do care about what's going on with teens and how they feel. As long as it makes a difference in one persons life I will be satisfied even if I fail.
