Reducing human trafficking globally.
Who is your mentor? How did you decide upon this person as your mentor?
Laurel Terry. She came into my English class one day and make an impressive presentation about poverty and an average African's life in Africa. Which made me think that she has the experience to be my mentor.
Why did you choose this topic?
I chose this topic because it has been an interest/goal of mine to accomplish since I was 2 years old.
What have you completed so far with your project?
I have researched a lot of information for Dr. Mattar, the executive
director of the Protection Project, whom I worked with in Washington D.C.,
Maryland in order to cite the research in his speech that he gave at his
conference in Vienna, New York.
What are you proud of concerning your project?
I am glad to have his experience and was
able to carry out my project successfully.
What are some interesting things you have learned from your project or your
paper?
1. Mohammed basically consented to having slaves in Konan.
2. One of Islam's prophets, Mohammed had domestic and sexual slaves
himself.
Anything else you'd like us to know about your senior project?
It is an amazing experience and feeling to have when you accomplish
something truly nice to do for the world. You feel great when you
contribute to helping resolve worldwide problem.
