I am originally from Fairbanks, AK. I moved to Nevada in 1993 
to attend UNR.  While at UNR, I student taught at Carson High 
School and graduated in 1998 with a BM in Music Education. 
I am also currently completing my MM in Choral Conducting 
through California State University in Los Angeles where I 
have attended classes for the last three summers.  I taught 
in Carson City for two years (at Fremont Elementary) and then 
moved to Indiana, where I taught both middle and high school 
choral music. I returned to Nevada in 2005 and taught for one
year in Washoe County before returning to Carson City this year. 
I now live here in Carson with my amazing husband, Andy, and 
our very energetic 8 year old son, Wesley. In addition to being 
a teacher, I am an avid singer/performer, scrap booker and
 consumer of Starbucks coffee.
